Emmaline Rial (they/them), originally from Stahlstown, Pennsylvania, is a passionate advocate for social justice and equitable policy reform. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from Pitt and are currently pursuing a Master's in Public Administration with a focus on Policy Research and Analysis at GSPIA.

As a program manager for the Center for Analytical Approaches to Social Innovation (CAASI) at GSPIA, Emmaline leads the Allegheny County Policing Project (ACPP), where they work to enhance police accountability and transparency in Pittsburgh. Their dedication to dismantling systemic injustices is evident in their commitment to researching police accountability and racial discrimination.

Emmaline brings a unique perspective to the board, motivated by a desire to create positive change in their community and promote safety and equity for all. They aim to support their peers in achieving collective goals, raise awareness of existing programming related to racial justice, and contribute valuable feedback to the planning and decision-making processes of Center activities.

Outside of their professional endeavors, Emmaline is driven by values of sustainability and empathetic problem-solving, reflected in their commitment to volunteer work utilizing their technical skills in data science and analysis.
